It’s crazy…

Years ago, still working at HSI, still running with director Paul Hunter every day. Still seeing how he hustled. Going with him to Mariah Carey’s house, for a meeting. Going with him to Mastro’s to meet Snoop, for a meeting. Going with him to the Beverly Hills Hotel for breakfast with Pharrell, also a meeting. Seeing big bro do all of these things, I never would have thought the same thing would happen to me. Well, the growth in my career was always known, always knew where I wanted it to go…but the fashion in which you have to get business done, I didn’t see it. Kind of always thought once you get that one job, the rest would snowball and a lot more things would come to you. And I think that’s still true…just haven’t gotten that “one” job yet. In the meantime, the grind is what takes place. The same way big bro did, office to office, studio to studio, random building to random building, meeting artists and clients in their environment. Two days ago was eerie though. Being in the same studio and room, that I had visited before with big bro, to meet Pharrell…working on In My Mind. The second I walked in that room, to meet _________________, also working on his album, it clicked. Saw my life flash, then…into now. Crazy, same circumstance, same room, same situation, different director, new talent. It’s all a circle. Everything comes back around. That’s why it’s so essential to soak up everything you go through in life, every moment, that way…when it comes back around, it’ll click, and then you have no problem getting down to business.
