There’s an interesting story behind this guy @ItsaPROBLEM. On his end, as well as on our end, in terms of interaction and business. First, he’s been doing his thing for a minute. Has written for some prominent people, had a couple major record deals, a few local hits on the radio and in the club, and is now buzzing again, especially with his hook and appearance on E-40’s “Function” record. Anyway, a few years ago…I didn’t really rock with Problem or his music. Not that it was bad, just wan’t my cup of tea. Went on a Twitter rant one day, a while ago…and mentioned his name. Somehow, it got back to him, he didn’t rock with Topshelf either. No biggie, no problem, just what it was. Life is funny though, people are in your life for a reason, and good friend Bad Lucc felt it was necessary that we meet…in hopes of working together. Inglewood, went to the meeting. Out the gate, you could see and feel the tension…Problem still wasn’t rolling. And I told him, I don’t really fuck with your music but…today is a new day, I’m here to listen to some NEW music. Sat down in the studio, about an hour or two, we talked, and listened to music. New music. It wasn’t the same music he was making before. Told him I would keep listening and see if there was anything we could collab on, visually. And that brings us to today. Numerous visuals in the can, and plenty more coming. You see, things don’t ALWAYS have to stay the SAME. People change, things change, people grow. And that’s what has happened with Problem. He continues to get better. Fully on his grind right now, his single “Last Love” has charted, his single “T.O.” is charting as we speak, and he continues to move with his fellow Diamond Lane Music Group members. I honestly feel like they’re the underdogs on the West right now. People know about them, maybe heard about them…but don’t REALLY know. And they’re fine with that. They understand that it doesn’t happen overnight. But looking at this video, especially during the performance segment, you’ll see…some people DO know. “From Mollywood to The Key Club”
